Expert Surface Dressing

Surface dressing is a cost-effective maintenance treatment where a layer of hot bitumen is applied to an existing road or driveway surface, followed by a layer of aggregate chippings. This seals the surface, improves skid resistance, and extends its life significantly.

We recommend keeping traffic off the freshly dressed surface for 24-48 hours to allow the chippings to bed in properly. After this, the surface is fully usable, though loose chippings may be present for a few days as the final layer embeds.

Surface dressing is best suited for surfaces in reasonable condition. For surfaces with potholes, cracks, or significant damage, we may recommend repairs first or a full asphalt overlay. We'll assess your surface during the survey.
